I love Pei Wei! It's conveniently located so when I leave work, I can drop by for take-out. It's in a busy plaza so parking can be a pain sometimes, but it's worth it. It's very clean inside. The floor plan is open, which makes it a little bit loud. I typically get my food to go anyway so it doesn't bother me. My favorite dish is the Caramel Chicken with brown rice. I'm glad they offer an alternative to white rice. They also offer a healthier option as opposed to get something fried. The Caramel Chicken has an even balance between sweet and spicy. The slaw that comes with it is crunchy and it's a delicious addition to the dish. For drinks, they offer a variety of alcoholic options like beer and wine, cold and hot teas, and most of the Coca-Cola options. They have that new fancy machine where you can get any soda and add flavoring to it. I always opt for the iced green tea. I visit this place about once a month.

This place is similar to a P.F. Changs. It is an Asian Fusion type of place. The atmosphere is really nice and pretty casual. The decor is a typical modern furniture with red just about everywhere. Pretty typical decor you would expect from a place like this. The food you find here are the things you would expect such as noodles, rice bowls, teriyaki, etc... I had the Spicy Korean Chicken meal. It was supposed to be pretty spicy but I do have to say it was very mild. I like all sorts of spicy foods and I was not impressed with the meal. It was pretty averaged price. I think I paid about $10 for a decent portion of food and a drink. This might be the type of place you may go to every once in a while but I would not recommend it on a usual basis. I think the best part of what I ordered was the Pork Eggroll, not even the actual meal. I expected a bit tastier food as it seemed kind of bland for the type of recommendations Ive heard from any PF Changs establishment. In all, maybe check out once, but don't be surprised if you are content and not wow'ed

I frequent this Pei Wei. They are prompt and accommodate me on short notice, like the other night when I called in a pick-up order 10 minutes before they were scheduled to close. They have my order saved on their computer system (yep I pretty much get the same thing every time - spicy kung pow chicken with brown rice, got to love the peanuts! My fiancee almost always gets honey chicken with white rice). Compared to the local mom and pop places, Pei Wei is preferred for us because of consistency. The other places might blow you away with the quality and taste sometimes (and even beat out Pei Wei) but other times it is so bad, that in my opinion the gamble is not worth it. I think it is great Pei Wei added sushi and I have been meaning to try it, but I have not gotten around to it yet. It looks good in the pictures. What really keeps me coming back to Pei Wei more than anything is the chicken mushroom lettuce wraps. They are awesome. I have never had a bad experience at this location, but I just cannot bring myself to give a chain 5 stars, so I have to leave it at 4. I will be very surprised if you are disappointed.

I went to Pei Wei for the first time yesterday. I wasn't blown away in any fashion. I had an order of the Kung Pao (sp?) chicken with brown rice, and I tried a fortune cookie and some of the dishes my friends got. It was good food, but it wasn't mind blowing by any stretch of the imagination. The actual restaurant itself is very clean. The servers are nice. I was a little bit confused because it almost looks like it's going to be a real restaurant, but it's set up like a fast food restaurant too. It's a less cool version of Panda Express I would say. Be warned, the water/ice machine requires skills beyond my brain power.

I love stopping at Pei Wei; either while out shopping in the area, or on my way to work. I love the fresh made Asian style food. Always with fresh ingredients. The dining area is always very clean, warm, and welcoming to the eye. The food is great. I have always experienced crunchy vegetables, with the meat choices cooked just right. I have tried only a few things on the menu, only because, I'm a creature of habit, and if I find something I like, I stick with it. - Might I suggest trying the caramel chicken, and if you like spicy, request it with extra spice.

Even though we were in plain sight, no one bothered to check if we received our order even after 30 minutes. Yelpers i will not steer you wrong i like this place because it tastes fresher and cleaner than most casual Chinese take out places in the area, some things are good some things not so good i would never eat shrimp at a establishment like this personally and not to fond of there beef ...but i will say there manager there is a good guy and the food is a good deal for what you get if ( not the sushi ) and will be way better than any other casual Chinese in pinellas that i know of. my go to meal here is ginger broccoli chicken but ask for potato starch chicken instead of steamed and an egg roll you can order extra chicken in the dish as well

My favorite "go to" dinner if I don't have time to cook. Order on my way home from work and 15 minutes later, my husband and I are covered. I usually order pad thi, regular size and it feeds us both dinner and then I take the leftovers to work the next day. The ingredients seem very fresh and the food is made to order. It's consistently tasty. I've had to wait for my food before behind a few people, but generally before 5pm, there's no line. I've ordered the egg rolls before, but they are too greasy for me.

Wanted "quick" dinner with my son. Rainy wet, damp night. AC turned on high, coupled with high humidity in the restaurant....and you get water condensing on every table and chair surface. It was a bit irritating, and uncomfortable. My son ordered lettuce wraps, they were as expected. Counter girl suggested I try the Thai Chicken Salad. It was totally over sauced, and then the deep fried chicken cubes had additional sauce, and as a "topper" for the lettuce and rice stick noodles the hot sauce wilted ALL the lettuce in seconds flat, made the rice stick noodles instantly soggy....It really was just terrible, period. I ate it anyway, as it was getting late and near my son's bedtime. Find a better Asian restaurant than Pei Wei....it really is just an assembly line kitchen, with low food cost, and high pricing to the diner.

Glad there's a Pie Wei here in St. Petersburg because it's a place that you can pretty much rely on to get a decent meal. This location delivered on that promise. I had the pad Thai with steak and it had a good portion of meat. It's the same steak they use for the Mongolian steak dish so it's nicely seasoned and tender. Tried their new sushi, but really wasn't that impressed. The food is fresh and tasty and it's a spinoff of PF Changs and has similar dishes, butna little more pedestrian and a little cheaper. It's not real authentic Chinese food, but it is tasty nonetheless.

My fiance and I come to Pei Wei almost weekly. We really enjoy the menu, especially the new sushi rolls they have. The first couple of times we tried the Teriyaki Crunch roll, it was amazing, and we increased our appetizer from the 4 piece to the 8 piece. After the first couple of weeks though, the consistency of the sushi rolls really dropped. Once we did not even finish our rolls. Overall though, we've had really good experience with the sushi. I always get the same thing when I go to Pei Wei, because it's my favorite. I get the chicken fried rice. The fried rice IS consistently good and with the sushi, the small portion more than fills me up for lunch. My fiance always changes up what she orders and she always enjoys what she has. Pei Wei has a new frequent visitors program, so be sure to check that out if you go regularly. The workers at Pei Wei recognize us now and they are very friendly and courteous when we come in.

Great customer service by, I believe to be, the manager. I will just stick with that but he is a solid example of each member of the staff. The manager was nice enough to make sure I got all of my sauces and chopsticks, as well as a cookie, and an extra snicker doodle for the road. I know it sounds bad that he gave me an extra cookie but it was late and they could be toward the end of their days, anyways he let me have it... It was god damn delicious. Then after I walk to my car I see another gentleman walk up to the door and it was closed, i was one of the last customers. But the same manager walked over, unlocked it, stepped outside, told him to come on in, and greeted him at the door like a professional. Needless to say I am a customer. As if the mango California rolls and every enter on the menu isn't dank, bomb, incredible, amazing, splendid, delightful, scrumdidlyumptious... Whatever works for you. It is just really good. But the customer service displayed by the staff and this manager is what creates not just a repeat customer, but an advertiser/fan. I will always recommend this store to people in the area. I will be back!

The place was packed, so maybe that was their excuse. My kung pao chicken was kind of weird-the chicken was breaded and fried-not a good way to do it when I expected it to be stir fried. The brown rice was a little dry. I had to send back the pork egg roll after requesting it crispy and receiving it (finally, after a very long wait) soggy. The hot and sour soup was pretty good. You can do much better than this, Pei Wei, get it together.

3.5 stars Pretty good.I've only ever ordered Pei Wei chicken salad and it's always pretty.The chicken could have been a little more tender but it had great flavor.I usually add lime on this salad but they don't carry limes anymore. Bummer. Most of the empty tables were dirty. Since my friend couldn't sit at the high top we had to sit at a dirty table. When they started bringing our food, they realized our table was dirty, thankfully they took care of it right away. Overall good but they need to keep up with tables, also bring back the limes :-(

The staff at this Pei Wei are delightful. The food is quite good as well, but I'm wondering if I should put an extra star for staff...? The wonton soup is delightful and the chicken lo mein is served hot, freshly cooked, and flavor-filled! The Chicken Lettuce Wraps are yumtastical. In addition: I was celebrating a friend's birthday with a late lunch on Saturday. Another friend was interested in trying a new dish, but was hesitating on account of the fact that she wasn't sure she'd like it. I asked at the order counter, "If she tries something new, and doesn't like it, can she trade it in for something else?" They said, of course! And the manager came over and confirmed! That's the kind of attention to customer service that keeps me coming back to a place like Pei Wei; the food is always good, and the ability to try new things without worry of having to eat something one dislikes makes it the perfect place to take adventuresome and diverse eaters! The fried ice tasted like it was cooked with burned oil. The Mongolian beef was pretty good. Over by the soda fountain, the floor was super slippery. It felt really greasy. I hope they take care of that before someone slips and falls. I've been to Pei Wei before and this experience was pretty poor, comparitively speaking.

I went there for the first time a few days ago...I got the special of the month...some caramel spicy chicken thing...not sure the name. It was delicious. It came w pineapple chunks which I'm not a huge fan of...but I coulda read that in the description... Also tried the Edamame and mango iced tea. Everything I had was on par with PF Changs and it was all delicious and cooked well. Check it out...nice atmosphere too for a glorified Chinese place.

First and last time at this location. Love the Dale Mabry Tampa location. While in line watched an off duty employee jump the line and the manager (marissa?) put her order in for her friends who were "5 minutes away". Needless to say their food arrived before ours yet they didn't show up for 20 more minutes. Egg rolls and fried wonton were good hence 2 stars not 1. Food runners are friendly too. Lo mein was mushy and dissolved in your mouth...gross. Sent it back and no better. Rice tasted like it was fried in dirty oil. Do yourself a favor and skip it.

Does anyone else think this place reminds you of Bento's Cafe in Orlando (or Gainesville?). The decor is very modern Asian-- flat screens at the front boast the menu as you walk by. Lots of red, black, and geometric shapes everywhere. Nice place to chill, laugh, and eat Asian food without running to a take-out and eating it from your couch. The food? Hmm... it's much better than your typical Chinese take-out (them Asian fakers) and just a couple dollars more... but still not authentic. The selection is good too... your variety of stir fried dishes on noodles or rice. Nothing was overly oily, undercooked, or too spicy... or authentic Asian. Oh well. The only authentic Asians were the cashiers hee hee. Speaking of... you order once you enter and the food is brought to you. The hostesses/cashiers looked bored to death while communication between the server and the kitchen seemed off. I ordered chicken and the server announced he was dropping "shrimp" in front of me... but it was still my chicken. PYRA SAYS If I'm in the neighborhood and craving quasi-Asian cuisine without sacrificing flavor and still wanting cash for a new wardrobe, I'll definitely return. I can overlook the staff anyway while I dig into my chicken.

It's not authentic Chinese food. Nor authentic any kind of Asian food, but it's a nice branch off the PF Chang franchise. Distance-wise, it's about as far from Clearwater as it is to PF Chang's in WestShore Plaza. I'm not going to lie, I like the idea that I don't have to tip the service at Pei Wei. The food is fairly comparable, unless there's an absolute burning desire for a dish at Chang's that you just can't get here. I haven't found anything to differentiate this from any other Pei Wei I've visited so it's a-ok in my book.

As part of the PF Changs chain, the quality of food is great. It can be thought of as a the fast-food version of PF Changs (well sort-of). You order at the counter and they bring the food to your when it is ready. It is a about $10-15 a platter and very delicious. I had the Thai Dynamite and it was awesome!

Finally, a good, cheap noodle shop. They are an off-shoot of PF Changs in Tampa, an authentic Chinese place near the top of my list. They do carry the Dan Dan noodles and have added several variations of pan-asian inspired dishes with noodles or rice and your choice of meats for every variation. Basically, it's the spices, vegies, and sauce that changes. Everything comes very fresh and hot from the wok that you see the open line using with minimal flair. Be prepared to have your food come out as each dish is done, and not necessarily all together, basically the same as they do in Asia. Expect the beef to be tender and well seared without being tough or overcooked. My wife likes the Pad Tai w/ shrimp & tofu; I can recommend the spicy korean or Kung Pao style w/ beef. Their flavored iced teas have much to be desired and the last time I was inthere (last night), I overheard several ladies at the drink fountain concur. Not much flavor. Almost everything is under $10. For dining in, you order at the counter, receive a numbered disc that you display at your table, then someone brings it out. "Spicy" is not very spicy but they have pepper paste to suit. I would love to see them branch into some noodle soups. If your concept of ramen comes fried, dried, and in a package, you are in for a real treat if you ever have Fresh ramen. Note to chef, please, please get some ramen with the pickled condiments, and that dark and lucious beef spare rib noodle soup I have been craving since my last trip to HK.

I love stopping at Pei Wei; either while out shopping in the area, or on my way to work. I love the fresh made Asian style food. Always with fresh ingredients. The dining area is always very clean, warm, and welcoming to the eye. The food is great. I have always experienced crunchy vegetables, with the meat choices cooked just right. I have tried only a few things on the menu, only because, I'm a creature of habit, and if I find something I like, I stick with it. - Might I suggest trying the caramel chicken, and if you like spicy, request it with extra spice.

This location seemed to be a good one. We had the Korean steak and original chicken lettuce wraps. Both were served with plenty of lettuce and came out really fast. Great place for a quick meal. The Korean lettuce wraps are ridiculously good!

Untidy...disorganized and not at all helping Pei Wei's good name. They misplaced our order. Even though we were in plain sight, no one bothered to check if we received our order even after 30 minutes. I doubt if they even noticed that we had not received our food even though there was a token on our table. Ruined our Valentines day dinner night. Pei Wei's are usually great. This one not so much. Avoid if you can.

Yelpers i will not steer you wrong i like this place because it tastes fresher and cleaner than most casual Chinese take out places in the area, some things are good some things not so good i would never eat shrimp at a establishment like this personally and not to fond of there beef ...but i will say there manager there is a good guy and the food is a good deal for what you get if ( not the sushi ) and will be way better than any other casual Chinese in pinellas that i know of. my go to meal here is ginger broccoli chicken but ask for potato starch chicken instead of steamed and an egg roll you can order extra chicken in the dish as well

Food was pretty decent for a cooked to order fast food type establishment. I ordered the small sesame shrimp and my honey ordered the large chicken teriyaki. We both got our meals with veggies and brown rice which we loved. The restaurant was clean and the food arrived quickly. While I've had better sesame shrimp back home in SC, this place did satisfy my craving for it so that's a plus. I would definitely return. The price was pretty good too for what we ordered.

My favorite "go to" dinner if I don't have time to cook. Order on my way home from work and 15 minutes later, my husband and I are covered. I usually order pad thi, regular size and it feeds us both dinner and then I take the leftovers to work the next day. The ingredients seem very fresh and the food is made to order. It's consistently tasty. I've had to wait for my food before behind a few people, but generally before 5pm, there's no line. I've ordered the egg rolls before, but they are too greasy for me.

Wanted "quick" dinner with my son. Rainy wet, damp night. AC turned on high, coupled with high humidity in the restaurant....and you get water condensing on every table and chair surface. It was a bit irritating, and uncomfortable. My son ordered lettuce wraps, they were as expected. Counter girl suggested I try the Thai Chicken Salad. It was totally over sauced, and then the deep fried chicken cubes had additional sauce, and as a "topper" for the lettuce and rice stick noodles the hot sauce wilted ALL the lettuce in seconds flat, made the rice stick noodles instantly soggy....It really was just terrible, period. I ate it anyway, as it was getting late and near my son's bedtime. Find a better Asian restaurant than Pei Wei....it really is just an assembly line kitchen, with low food cost, and high pricing to the diner.

We get takeout from here often. I avoid dining inside because it's always absolutely freezing in the restaurant! The food, although not very authentic, is pretty good and its consistent. My faves are teriyaki beef and pad thai chicken...delicious!

Glad there's a Pie Wei here in St. Petersburg because it's a place that you can pretty much rely on to get a decent meal. This location delivered on that promise. I had the pad Thai with steak and it had a good portion of meat. It's the same steak they use for the Mongolian steak dish so it's nicely seasoned and tender. Tried their new sushi, but really wasn't that impressed. The food is fresh and tasty and it's a spinoff of PF Changs and has similar dishes, butna little more pedestrian and a little cheaper. It's not real authentic Chinese food, but it is tasty nonetheless.

My fiance and I come to Pei Wei almost weekly. We really enjoy the menu, especially the new sushi rolls they have. The first couple of times we tried the Teriyaki Crunch roll, it was amazing, and we increased our appetizer from the 4 piece to the 8 piece. After the first couple of weeks though, the consistency of the sushi rolls really dropped. Once we did not even finish our rolls. Overall though, we've had really good experience with the sushi. I always get the same thing when I go to Pei Wei, because it's my favorite. I get the chicken fried rice. The fried rice IS consistently good and with the sushi, the small portion more than fills me up for lunch. My fiance always changes up what she orders and she always enjoys what she has. Pei Wei has a new frequent visitors program, so be sure to check that out if you go regularly. The workers at Pei Wei recognize us now and they are very friendly and courteous when we come in.

Great customer service by, I believe to be, the manager. I will just stick with that but he is a solid example of each member of the staff. The manager was nice enough to make sure I got all of my sauces and chopsticks, as well as a cookie, and an extra snicker doodle for the road. I know it sounds bad that he gave me an extra cookie but it was late and they could be toward the end of their days, anyways he let me have it... It was god damn delicious. Then after I walk to my car I see another gentleman walk up to the door and it was closed, i was one of the last customers. But the same manager walked over, unlocked it, stepped outside, told him to come on in, and greeted him at the door like a professional. Needless to say I am a customer. As if the mango California rolls and every enter on the menu isn't dank, bomb, incredible, amazing, splendid, delightful, scrumdidlyumptious... Whatever works for you. It is just really good. But the customer service displayed by the staff and this manager is what creates not just a repeat customer, but an advertiser/fan. I will always recommend this store to people in the area. I will be back!

The place was packed, so maybe that was their excuse. My kung pao chicken was kind of weird-the chicken was breaded and fried-not a good way to do it when I expected it to be stir fried. The brown rice was a little dry. I had to send back the pork egg roll after requesting it crispy and receiving it (finally, after a very long wait) soggy. The hot and sour soup was pretty good. You can do much better than this, Pei Wei, get it together.

I LOVE PEI WEI. I've been coming here since it opened and it has never failed me. Everything is delicious. Made on the spot. Delicious Fast food! You order and get a number and it's brought to your table...I've never waited over 10 minutes tops(and that's on REALLY busy days). For those who do not know Pei Wei is a branch off PF Changs. Delicious high quality food for a fraction of the price and virtually no wait time!

3.5 stars Pretty good.I've only ever ordered Pei Wei chicken salad and it's always pretty.The chicken could have been a little more tender but it had great flavor.I usually add lime on this salad but they don't carry limes anymore. Bummer. Most of the empty tables were dirty. Since my friend couldn't sit at the high top we had to sit at a dirty table. When they started bringing our food, they realized our table was dirty, thankfully they took care of it right away. Overall good but they need to keep up with tables, also bring back the limes :-(

I love Pei Wei because they have online ordering and a separate door/cashier for take out orders. It's perfect for a night when you want something quick and inexpensive. It's also a great alternative to the same ol' Chinese takeout menu. Once I discovered Pei Wei had pad thai, I've been hooked. The location in Tampa (Westshore) has some new sushi items and I'm hoping this location adds them soon.

Had never been to a Pei Wei until recently, after hearing that they were owned by P.F. Chang. Wow! I've been missing a great place. Have been here several times in the last month. The food is always good! It is nice to be able to get a smaller portion, which is usually plenty for me. My son loves the Coke FreeStyle machine they have. This is now a favorite place for us! The staff at this Pei Wei are delightful. The food is quite good as well, but I'm wondering if I should put an extra star for staff...? The wonton soup is delightful and the chicken lo mein is served hot, freshly cooked, and flavor-filled! The Chicken Lettuce Wraps are yumtastical. In addition: I was celebrating a friend's birthday with a late lunch on Saturday. Another friend was interested in trying a new dish, but was hesitating on account of the fact that she wasn't sure she'd like it. I asked at the order counter, "If she tries something new, and doesn't like it, can she trade it in for something else?" They said, of course! And the manager came over and confirmed! That's the kind of attention to customer service that keeps me coming back to a place like Pei Wei; the food is always good, and the ability to try new things without worry of having to eat something one dislikes makes it the perfect place to take adventuresome and diverse eaters! The fried ice tasted like it was cooked with burned oil. The Mongolian beef was pretty good. Over by the soda fountain, the floor was super slippery. It felt really greasy. I hope they take care of that before someone slips and falls. I've been to Pei Wei before and this experience was pretty poor, comparitively speaking.

I went there for the first time a few days ago...I got the special of the month...some caramel spicy chicken thing...not sure the name. It was delicious. It came w pineapple chunks which I'm not a huge fan of...but I coulda read that in the description... Also tried the Edamame and mango iced tea. Everything I had was on par with PF Changs and it was all delicious and cooked well. Check it out...nice atmosphere too for a glorified Chinese place.

First and last time at this location. Love the Dale Mabry Tampa location. While in line watched an off duty employee jump the line and the manager (marissa?) put her order in for her friends who were "5 minutes away". Needless to say their food arrived before ours yet they didn't show up for 20 more minutes. Egg rolls and fried wonton were good hence 2 stars not 1. Food runners are friendly too. Lo mein was mushy and dissolved in your mouth...gross. Sent it back and no better. Rice tasted like it was fried in dirty oil. Do yourself a favor and skip it.

Does anyone else think this place reminds you of Bento's Cafe in Orlando (or Gainesville?). The decor is very modern Asian-- flat screens at the front boast the menu as you walk by. Lots of red, black, and geometric shapes everywhere. Nice place to chill, laugh, and eat Asian food without running to a take-out and eating it from your couch. The food? Hmm... it's much better than your typical Chinese take-out (them Asian fakers) and just a couple dollars more... but still not authentic. The selection is good too... your variety of stir fried dishes on noodles or rice. Nothing was overly oily, undercooked, or too spicy... or authentic Asian. Oh well. The only authentic Asians were the cashiers hee hee. Speaking of... you order once you enter and the food is brought to you. The hostesses/cashiers looked bored to death while communication between the server and the kitchen seemed off. I ordered chicken and the server announced he was dropping "shrimp" in front of me... but it was still my chicken. PYRA SAYS If I'm in the neighborhood and craving quasi-Asian cuisine without sacrificing flavor and still wanting cash for a new wardrobe, I'll definitely return. I can overlook the staff anyway while I dig into my chicken.

It's not authentic Chinese food. Nor authentic any kind of Asian food, but it's a nice branch off the PF Chang franchise. Distance-wise, it's about as far from Clearwater as it is to PF Chang's in WestShore Plaza. I'm not going to lie, I like the idea that I don't have to tip the service at Pei Wei. The food is fairly comparable, unless there's an absolute burning desire for a dish at Chang's that you just can't get here. I haven't found anything to differentiate this from any other Pei Wei I've visited so it's a-ok in my book.

As part of the PF Changs chain, the quality of food is great. It can be thought of as a the fast-food version of PF Changs (well sort-of). You order at the counter and they bring the food to your when it is ready. It is a about $10-15 a platter and very delicious. I had the Thai Dynamite and it was awesome!

Finally, a good, cheap noodle shop. They are an off-shoot of PF Changs in Tampa, an authentic Chinese place near the top of my list. They do carry the Dan Dan noodles and have added several variations of pan-asian inspired dishes with noodles or rice and your choice of meats for every variation. Basically, it's the spices, vegies, and sauce that changes. Everything comes very fresh and hot from the wok that you see the open line using with minimal flair. Be prepared to have your food come out as each dish is done, and not necessarily all together, basically the same as they do in Asia. Expect the beef to be tender and well seared without being tough or overcooked. My wife likes the Pad Tai w/ shrimp & tofu; I can recommend the spicy korean or Kung Pao style w/ beef. Their flavored iced teas have much to be desired and the last time I was inthere (last night), I overheard several ladies at the drink fountain concur. Not much flavor. Almost everything is under $10. For dining in, you order at the counter, receive a numbered disc that you display at your table, then someone brings it out. "Spicy" is not very spicy but they have pepper paste to suit. I would love to see them branch into some noodle soups. If your concept of ramen comes fried, dried, and in a package, you are in for a real treat if you ever have Fresh ramen. Note to chef, please, please get some ramen with the pickled condiments, and that dark and lucious beef spare rib noodle soup I have been craving since my last trip to HK.
